About 10 per cent of the Sugar.it consumed in these counties is' gran- j 1 ulated cane sugar. 0 2. About 25 per cent of the powdered pow-dered product is cane sugar. 3. From the best information f: available at present, there was 127 s-car s-car loads of candies imported into sj Utah for 1932. In the making of b . - ' A survey has recently been made by the Utah Central Beet Growers Association, showing the percentage of cane sugar being consumed by the people in Utah and Wasatch counties, which is entirely a foreign product. This greatly harms the business of agriculture in this section sec-tion and if the people will demand Utah manufactured sugar and insist on products made from Utah Sugar they will build up the sugar industry in-dustry In this trrifm-r o,J i 4.1,. - j tuiu 111 U1C state and at the same time benefit bene-fit themselves to a great extent. By helping to build up Utah and her industries every citizen is thus doing himself a great favor.. As the raising of sugar beets and the manufacturing of sugar is one of the leading industries of Utah county, the people of the county should do their part in building up the industry and thus enriching the county, by demanding only Utah manufactured sugar and confections confect-ions and candies made from Utah sugar only. The following letter has been sent out by the Beet Grower's as- nus amount or candy there would be used 7,620,000 pounds or 76,000 bags of sugar, which is entirely a foreign product. Now, therefore, in view of this information we are taking this opportunity op-portunity of informing the consuming consum-ing public as to just how that reflects re-flects in the business of agriculture . in this section.
