Show Ten Years Ago j (Taken from files of Feb. 17, 1923) Ten .Years Ago Now--: The safe in the office of the high school was broken into between Saturday night and Monday morning, morn-ing, and though ransacked, nothing but a check for $9.00 was taken, Ten Years Ago Now Rodolph Edward Hunter, 76, resident resi-dent of this city for over 55 years, died at his home here Wednesday morning of bronchial pneumonia. Ten Years Ago Now While sawing ice Sunday Lenard Bates slipped and fell into the water which was over his head. He was helped from the water and taken to a neighbors where dry clothing was supplied and he was none the worse for his cold bath. Ten Years Ago Now Waldo Bateman of Alpine, while playing basketball Monday evening, Received a broken nose, having been hit by an elbow of another player. Ten Years Ago Now A boy was born to Mrs. Lloyd Ohran February 1st. Mrs. Ohran was formerly Miss Margurite King. Ten Years Ago Now Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Stewart are I the proud parents of a baby girl born last Fridav. Ten Years Ago Now The picture of our local basketball boys with their coach "Happy" Holmstead appeared in Sunday's Tribune. The boys are: Elijah Chip-man, Chip-man, Grant Ingcrsoll, Pete Condor, Clyde Birk, Elden Chipman, Alex Karrcn, James Chadwick and Dean Nielsen, and they smiled out under the heading "Leaders in the Alpine Division." Ten Years Ago Now A baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Harry Adamson last Week, one to Mr. and Mrs. Heber Hansen and Monday a son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Urban Johnson. o |
