Show Genealogical Convention A Big Success! The morning services held in the : Third ward Amusement Hall Sunday Sun-day morning was conducted by Chairman Lawrence Walker. The opening prayer was by President M. S. Christiansen and the congregation congrega-tion sang, "How Firm A Foundation. Founda-tion. Chairman Walker made a re- j port on stake activities for adult and junior organizations for the year showing a high standing in temple endowment work. He also expressed his appreciation for the work of the stake board and the senior and junior workers. Alvin Jacobson of Salt Lake spoke on encouragement to do more research re-search and said "It is only Fair Play that we do what we can for our ancestors an-cestors in payment for what they have done for us. The average elder converts only four while we may be able to do work for many. Congregation sang "An Angel From On High:" Mark Peterson, also from the general authorities, spoke on the Church Security Plan and told of the interest of President Roosevelt's cabinet members and many leaders in this great undertaking. He also stated that the work is going forward for-ward and marching on to its destiny and that many writers for leading magazines come to the Deseret News office for information, as well as to church authorities. He said that the redemption of Zion would come through the sacrifices of the people. Mark Peterson told of the blessings bless-ings of those who are doing their duty and his visit to many historic places sacred to the Latter-day Saints. Closing remarks were made by President W. W.
