The Thomas Fenton home will be a modern bungalow, bun-galow, that of Nels Swenson 's a Spanish bungalow type, while Mrs. Owen Halliday's will follow the plan of the American cottage. Ten Years Ago Now , On Friday, August 5th the descendants des-cendants of Pete Christiansen and William Christiansen met at Geneva in one of the largest and most successful suc-cessful family reunions ever witnessed. wit-nessed. It was the 101 birthday of Peter Christiansen. During the day the relatives enjoyed a program, bothing, boating, games, a kangaroo court, fortune telling, dancing, reminiscing, re-miniscing, and a general reacquaint-ance reacquaint-ance party. Ten Years Ago Now The tax levy for Pleasant Grove for the year 1927 was set at 17 mills by the city council at their meeting Monday night. The following resolution reso-lution was adopted by the council in taking care of the assessment: It is resolved by the city council of Pleasant Grove city in regular session ses-sion assembled that the levies for defraying the expenses, setting up sinking funds and paying interest on bonded indebtedness be and are hereby set up for 1927 as follows: General Fund 4 Mills Streets Fund 4 Mills Library Fund 1 Mill State Road 2 Mills Water Works 3 VI Mills Special W. W. Sinking Fund 1U Mills Bonds Interest Fund Hi Mills TOTAL 17 Mills Ten Years Ago Now The M. I. A. members of the Pleasant Grove Third ward will have their annual three day vacation vaca-tion at the "Dell" in American Fork canyon next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday has been designated as ward Reunion Day. On that day all the families in the ward will join the young folks in the canyon and have a real time. |
