Show o Impressive Funeral Services Held For A. W. Buckwalter Solemn and impressive were the funeral services held Sunday afternoon, after-noon, September 15, at 2 p. m. in the Alpine Stake Tabernacle for A. W. Buckwalter, 63, who passed away at the family residence September 11, after a short illness following a stroke. A large and profuse array of floral tributes completely decked the rostrum rost-rum and casket, and a largo crowd of relatives and friends were present to pay their last respects to the deceased. deceas-ed. Bishop T. A. Greenwood of the First ward officiated at the services, which opened with a quartet composed of Mrs. Eleanor Grant, Mrs. lamella Greenwood, John Davis and Clarence A. Grant, singing "Sometime We'll Understand." The invocation was given by Thomas S. Friday. Tho next musical selection was a vocal duct "It Was For Me" beautifully sung by Clarence A. Grant and Ray Shelley. The speakers were Leo T. Shelley, Bishop Joseph H. Storrs of the Second Sec-ond ward and President C- E. Young. Each of them conveyed many words of consolement to the bereaved family. fami-ly. Bishop Greenwood made concluding conclud-ing remarks. Interspersing the speakers, Milton Brown played a violin number "A Perfect Day" accompanied by Mrs. Mary Humphries and Mrs. Edith G. Young sang a vocal solo "The Iarab Of God". The closing song was a vocal solo "I know That My Redeemer Lives" by Ruion Nicholes accompanied by the First Ward quartet. The benediction benedic-tion was pronounced by Counselor Samuel F. Grant Interment was made In the city cemetery, where Patriarch Warrm B. Smith dedicated the grave. |
