Show Twenty-seven Baskets of Peaches Stolen Tuesday Night During the past two months a number num-ber of complaints have been received of chickens .stolen, fruit stolen, clothes lines robbed and other petty .thefts occuring (mostly in the outside districts. Last Tuesday Perry Harper had picked twenty-seven 'baskets of peaches and was getting a load of other fruit ready .for his' peddling truck. During the night the peaches disappeared. Marshal Lynn Fryer remembered noticeing a truck standing on a side street in Lindon for several hours that evening and becoming suspicious he wrote down the number of the license which proved to he a Murray car. When Mr. Harper reported the lass of the peaches, Mr. Fryer drove to Murray at No. 4720, and found the peaches in the tuck with the number num-ber he had taken. He arrested Maurice Loadr, owner of the truck, and brought him iback to Provo wher;e she confessed to the theft. n |
