Show American Fork's Truck Gets 0. K. Of Underwriters Notice of acceptance of American Fork's new fire truck has been sub-milted sub-milted to the city by the Board of l iif Underwriters of the Pacific. 'the report of the fire underwriters underwrit-ers gives the detail of the extended lists given the new truck at the Mill pond last week, and carries the official O. K. of the insurance e.roup. According to the report, the pumper pump-er discharged 525 gallons per minute at a pressure of 126 pounds. Operating Operat-ing at 5(1 per cent capacity, the truck discharged 252 gallons per minute at a pressure of 211 pounds. Working at 2;) per cent m excess of its rated capacity, in a test made at the request of the city, it discharged dis-charged (ill gallons per minute, at n pressure of 211 pounds. The eii";ine was tested by W. W. Cox, representing the fire underwriters, under-writers, and was operated by Mr. Walton, delivery engineer represent- ' ing the Mack company. j |
