Show Mrs. W. A. Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. James Binnell and Mrs. Carl Anderson Ander-son attended funeral services for Mrs. Robinson's cousin in Ogden on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Francis Pulley entertained Tuesday afternoon at a lawn party in honor of her daughter, Lucille, the occasion being the sixth birthday birth-day of the young Miss. Twenty little lit-tle guests enjoyed playing games and a delicious luncheon was served. Rosie Christensen and family of Tremonton, and Thomas Abel of Elwood, Utah, arrived here Tuesday night for a short visit with Mr. and Mrs. George Abel. Miss Beth Hutchings returned , Monday evening from a three weeks trip to Yellowstone, Rocky Moun-tain Moun-tain and Grand Teton National Parks. She also spent several days in Denver, Colorado, and Colorado Springs. ( Miss Alice Shelley, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Shelley of I Joseph City, Arizona, is spending two weeks here at the home of Mr. j and Mrs. George F. Shelley. f Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Hoyle and family of Spokane, Washington, j were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hoyle Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. James Kelly, Miss ' Bessie Kelly and Earl and Howard Kelly left Tuesday morning for a f two weeks trip to the Northwest. They will visit various points of in- f terest in the Northwest and down the coast. Glen Baker, who has been em- j ployed by the Utah Power & Light Company for the past three years, , has received an appointment to act as representative of the General Electric Company in this district. Glen Andreason, son of Mr. and ' Mrs. Ray Andreason has accepted a position in the office of the Utah ' Copper Company at Garfield. Mr. Andreason, a graduate of the Amer- lean Fork High school attended , school the past year at Henegars Business College in Salt Lake City. ( Mrs. Iva Carlson, instructor of Home Economics in the American ' Fork High school, moved to Pleas- ant Grove the latter part of the 1 week. Mrs. Carlson has purchased the old Clark home in Pleasant I Grove. i Am. Fork Locals Mrs. Rollo Thornton and her daughter, LuAna of Pleasant Grove, spent Wednesday in American Fork visiting with Mrs. Lawrence Hutchings. Hutch-ings. Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Cunningham, Cunning-ham, Mrs. Karl Kelly and Miss Golda Cunningham of Los Angeles, California, arrived here Sunday for a two weeks visit with Mrs. Jennie Cunningham. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Chipman and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bate returned home Tuesday from a three day fishing trip to Pine Dale, Wyoming. While in Wyoming they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Miller. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hoyle and family were dinner guests Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Hanks in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Stanford Briggs and Mr. and Mrs. John Clarke motored up American Fork canyon to the Cave Camp Tuesday night where they enjoyed a steak supper. Mrs. John Clarke and Miss Alice Parker attended funeral services for Mrs. J. Jensen in Moroni Thursday afternoon. Miss Marcelle Gunther of Los Angeles, California, visited in American Amer-ican Fork Friday, a guest of Miss Bertha Clarke. Miss Gunther, whose parents are residents of Lehi is in Utah to spend her vacation. John Clarke returned home Monday Mon-day from California where he has been attending summer school at the U. C. L. A. the past six weeks. Mr. Clarke is principal of the, Moroni Moro-ni seminary. Maralyn and Joan Greenwood, small daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Greenwood of Provo, returned return-ed to their home the first part of the week, after having spent the past ten days here with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl S. Greenwood. Mrs. C. L. Jessen and four daughters, daugh-ters, returned to their home in Kinkston Monday, after having spent the past week here with her father, John Jacklin. Betha Strong, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Strong of Alpine had her appendix removed at the L. D. S. Hospital in Salt Lake City Saturday Satur-day afternoon. Her condition is reported re-ported as good. Miss Strong is employed em-ployed at Brighton. o Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wimmer of Joseph City, Arizona, announce the arrival of a nine pound baby boy born in American Fork August 5th. Mrs. Wimmer was before her marriage mar-riage Miss Ethel Shelley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George F. Shelley of this city. Mrs. Frank Bush and Howard Bush returned home Sunday from Ely, Nevada. They were called there on account of the illness of Elmo Bush, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bush. Elmo recently underwent a critical operation but was much improved im-proved at last report. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Rife of Eureka, announce the marriage of their daughter Alene to Frank O. Faurs of Ogden, son of Mrs. Elizabeth Faurs. The marriage took place on August 2nd at Nephi, the ceremony being performed by Bishop Alma C. Tronter. Mrs. Faurs is the granddaughter grand-daughter of Mrs. Hannah Rhodes of this city. Miss Lois Greenwood, Miss Vivian Jorgenson and Miss Grace Parker have accepted positions to teach in the Nebo School district for the coming winter term. Miss Greenwood Green-wood and Miss Jorgenson will teach in Payson while Miss Parker has been appointed to teach in Spring-vllle. Spring-vllle. All three of the young ladies taught in the Pleasant Grove schools last winter. Miss Greenwood Green-wood and Miss Jorgcnsi n handled the kindergarten in Lehi this summer, sum-mer, while Miss Parker taught in the kindergarten in Pleasant Grove. Mrs. W. A. Robiivson and Miss Bessie Robinson spent the week-end in Salt Lake City, guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Thomas. Mrs. Glen Adamson of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Merle Coombs of Pleasant Grove spent Saturday afternoon af-ternoon in American Fork, guests at the home of Mrs. A. F. Galsford. Mr. and Mrs. James Hooks of Provo, Miss Earllne Cunninilham, ' Dannll Walker of Pleasant Grove, Miss Delia Robinson and Walter Muhl.stien motored to Saltalr Sunday Sun-day afternoon. The members of the reality Club spent Thursday afternoon at Saratoga. Sara-toga. The afternoon was spent swimming, after which a delicious lunch was served.
