Larson, prominent lawyer of Provo and a native of Pleasant Grove, had a distinct honor hon-or conferred upon him when he was appointed to serve as a judge of the Pourtk Judicial District by Govenor George H. Dern. The appointment at this time was to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Judge James B. Tucker, who recently left for California. Ten Years Ago Now During the past week Mr. Hall of the firm of Caldwell & Richards of Salt Lake, has surveyed and staked out the new waterworks extension on the too of Little mountain. There will be three cement intake boxes so that the water will enter the new pipe line in perfect condition from the Battle Creek spring and enter in the Blue Creek pipe. There will be no possibility of contamination entering the city pipes. Ten Years Ago Now Bids were asked by the forest service Saturday on construction at the summit of Timpanogos of a glass house to contain a pelorus with sight vanes which will serve as a "finder" to those who climb the mountain. With the aid of this convenience it will be possible to locate lo-cate prominent landmarks at any point of the horizon. On a clear day the summit of Timpanogos affords af-fords an opportunity to get a bird's eye view of a large part of northern and central Utah. II ! II II I I ! II I I II II |
