Show SECOND WARD HOLDS SUCCESSFUL BANQUET The Pleasant Grove Second ward held a very successful banquet last Saturday evening. More than 300 plates were sold. While the banquet was being served a program was rendered. A one-act play, entitled "Who Savs Can't" was rendered by High school students; a reading "'Between Two Loves" by Electa Linebaugh; a clarinet clari-net solo, Alfred Dexter; reading, "Mrs. Schnichlefrltz," Geraldine Macfarlane; a baritone solo, "In the Garden of My Heart", Richard Peterson; Pet-erson; reading, "Long Ago", Lyeanl Johnson; radio broadcast, (buries-1 que) Ford M. Poulson and Elroy West; demonstration of Merry Widow Wi-dow Waltz, Margaret Stagg and Warren Kirk; a one-act play, "Farewell "Fare-well Cruel World", directed by Louise West; solo, "Violets", Jennie Halli-day. Halli-day. After the banquet had been served and the program rendered the balance bal-ance of the evening was spent in dancing. |
