Show First Ward Play Enjoyed By Three Packed Houses Once more the clever First ward dramatic stars registered success in the presentation of their annual performance. per-formance. A matinee and two evening even-ing performances pleased packed houses on Saturday and Monday at their ward house. The undertaking proved a success financially as well as from an entertaining enter-taining angle. The play, "Surefire" a rapidly moving mov-ing comedy, carried the audiences thru sympathetic natures and their comedy of witticism brought laugh after laugh. An interesting plot ran thru the story which also helped to hold the interest. Clarence Grant, as Robert Ford, carried the leading role in his usual characteristic style ably assisted by Miss Lu Rae Buckwaltcr as the loading load-ing lady. Harold Werner, Miss Mildred Mil-dred Dunkley, Karl Bennett, Ray Shelley, Shel-ley, Miss Orpha Robinson, Reed Robinson, Rob-inson, Holmer Bloomquist, Thornton Bide, and Mrs. Jarvis Aydelotle all portrayed their parts in near profes-i profes-i sional style. Each seemed to instill j some individuality into the lines which helped to carry thru the Btory or plot and kept up the interest. Mrs. Aydelotte, as the mother, was real pleasing in her gray hair and special makeup.
