A number of those taking tak-ing part In the plays have already made their initial appearance before the public but a number of them are new. The plays which have been selected are two comedies and a fantasy. The names of the plays and the cast of characters follow: "Not Quite Such a Goose," a comedy come-dy by Zona Gale. Mrs- Bell Etta Abel Albert Bell John Dean Sylvia Bell Reva Roberts Hazel Henderson Grace Walker Philip Flick Alma Binns This comedy concerns a mother who is just allowing her children, Sylvia and Albert, to have callers. The girl and boy in the family are truly typical because one is the teased teas-ed and the other is the teaser. The public will enjoy the familiar antics which carry on before them in this slice of family life. "The Maker of Dreams," a fantasy, by Oliphant Down. Pierrot Erma Logsdon Pierrette Loraine Boley The Manufacturer Geneve Andreason Pierrette silently lavishes on Pierrot Pier-rot her love and care, but laments the fact that he does not return her affection. His fancy is for ladies who flatter his vanity by praising his songs. Cupid, the Manufacturer of Dreams, enters, disguised, wins Pieret te's confidence, and, on the return of Pierrot, gives him the one woman destined as his mate. He leaves the two to the realization that happiness has all the time been waiting for them close at hand. "Grandma Pulls the String," a comedy by Edith Delano and David Carh. Grandma Blessington Orpha Robinson. Rob-inson. Mrs. Cummings Virginia Eggert-sen. Eggert-sen. Hildegrade Cummings Alice Hall-sey. Hall-sey. Nona Cunningham Mildred Wan-lass. Wan-lass. William Thornton Ferron Sagers. "Grandma Pulls the Strings" is a fine specimen of light comedy. The situation is a simple domestic conspiracy, con-spiracy, but the wit with which it is exploited is more than usually subtle. The arch conspirator is Grandma, the family tyrant, perhaps a benevolent benevo-lent tyrant. The music department under the direction of Prof. K. J. Bird will furnish fur-nish numbers between the plays. The performance will start promptly prompt-ly at 8 o'clock. Students of the grammar gram-mar grades, Junior high school asd high school will be admitted for 25 cents. There will be no reserved seats. The public will be admitted for 35 cents. |
