Kofford, Pleasant Grove, are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Benka, to Law-rence Todd Kerby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Kerby, Mesa, Ariz. The couple will exchange vows in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Aug. 26. A garden reception will honor the newlyweds that same evening from 7 to 9 at the Bungalow, 235 S. 100 West, Pleasant Grove. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Attending the bride will be Shannon Wood, Shelly, Stephanie, Staci and Sharon Kerby. Best man duties will be per-formed by Scott Kerby, with Chad and Larry Kerby II and Brian Lange serving as groomsmen. Pre-nupti- showers for the bride Crandall and LeNore Laudie, Na-tasha Wolfenstien and Raija Maxfield. The bride-to-b- e is a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and LDS Seminary. She is a senior at BYU studying chemical engineer-ing. The prospective groom is a gradu-ate of Torrey Pines High School, San Diego, Calif., and LDS Semi-nary. He served an LDS mission to the Netherlands Amsterdam Mis-sion. He is a senior at BYU studying business management. Both bride and groom were members of the BYU marchingband for three years. The couple will make their first home in Provo. Uncilnan Open house to honor newlyweds, Susan Liddle, Steven Theobald h , f- 1 V 1 Mr. and Mrs. Alfred S. Liddle, San Jose, Calif, former residents of Pleasant Grove, are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Susan, to Steven Theobald, son of Bishop and Mrs. John Theobald, also of San Jose. Steven and Susan exchanged vows in the Los Angeles Temple Aug. 5 and a reception was held for them Aug. 11 in San Jose. An open house will be held for them on Aug. 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the home of Lynn and June Searle, 85 S. 1400 East, Pleasant Grove. All family, friends and relatives are invited to attend. Susan graduated in 1987 from Pleasant Grove High School. She was senior class president. She also graduated from LDS Seminary. She attended one year at BYU. Steven graduated from the In-dependent High School in San Jose and filled an LDS mission to Bra-zil. He will graduate in April 1990 from BYU with a degree in microbi-ology. The couple will make their first home in Provo where both will be attending BYU. Clark, will marry Duane Robert Weenig, son of Dr. and Mrs. Jay F. Weenig, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mr. and Mrs. Fred R. Barnes, Denver, Colo., on Aug. 26 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A reception will honor the couple that evening from 7 to 9:30 at the BYU Alumni House. The event is open to all friends and relatives. David Pluid Angela Bronson Librarian to attend training meet at U of U sponsored by State Library Jean N. Gifford will join library directors and trustees from all across Utah at a training institute on the University of Utah campus during the last week in August. Sponsored by the Utah State Library, the Utah Public Library Institute for Training (UPLIFT) is designed to provide information about basic library functions and statewide developments in Utah public library services. The institute features nation-ally recognized speakers, and also affords attendees the opportunity to share ideas with their counter-parts around the state. Participants take intensive "core" courses in library management for four hours each morning and at-tend workshops on a wide range of library related problems and is-sues each afternoon. Mrs. Gifford's attendance will help to make Pleasant Grove Pub-lic Library eligible for a library development grant. |
