Show Throw 'em in slammer! Here's the chance of a lifetime! For $5 you can have your favorite local person thrown in the slammer. slam-mer. That's right. They will be thrown in the American Cancer Society's Jail at the Pleasant Grove Downtown Down-town Park on Thursday, June 15, the opening day of Strawberry Days. Participation is completely voluntary. vol-untary. Willing participants will be picked up by some sort of a police officer and hauled off to jail. In order to get out he-she must raise sufficient bail, as set by a judge. They will solicit this bail from friends, passers-by, or sneaky thugs who had them arrested in the first place. All profitsfrom this Jail-A-Thon will go toward funding the cancer research, patient services and life- ' saving education programs of the American Cancer Society.
