Show LeOra Bowman Doyle to be honored on eightieth birthday with two parties j The children of LeOra Bowman toyle will honor her on her 80th 'lirthday with two celebrations. ' On Feb. 10 she will be honored "vith a family celebration. On Feb. , there will be an open house at ie American Fork Senior Citizen's lenter, 54 E. Main, from 3-6 p.m. jr all friends and relatives. The amily requests no gifts. ivJ LeOra was born Feb. 10, 1908 in leber City, to John Thomas 'M' and Elsie Jane Dayton Giles, the eventh of nine children. She at-ended at-ended schools in Cedar City and Wked on her father's farm, j She has a great love for horses ..nd is not afraid of hard work. Snjj- She married John James v ,lowman July 28, 1923 in Devils "lide, Utah. Their marriage was iter solemnized in the Salt Lake DS Temple. John died in an accident in f kecember of 1938, leaving LeOra to are for her eight children. I In 1943 LeOra moved from Heber American Fork with her family . ..... and has lived in American Fork since. In April, 1947, she married James Frances Doyle. He died May 12, 1985. Mrs. Doyle has a posterity to be proud of, well over 100. Her sons are James Melvin Bowman and Neldon J. Bowman, both of American Fork. Daughters are Marva B. Mann, Round Mountain, Nev.; Rhea B. Anderson, Layton; Marie B. Jessen, Salt Lake City; LoAnn Sorenson and Loretta Parker, both American Fork. Her eldest daughter, Ora E. Jackson, passed away in October 1966. She has 37 grandchildren, of which 34 are living. She has 66 great grandchildren, 65 are living. In June of this year she is expecting her second great great grandchild. She also has three stepchildren: Nyle J. Doyle, Manila; A. Lee Doyle, Clinton; and Donna D. Shumway, Lindon; and many step grandchildren. LeOra Bowman Doyle |
