Show Pageant Guild plans auction and dinner The annual Utah Pageant of the Arts Guild dinner-dance and art scholarship auction will be Friday, March 18, in the Grand Ballroom at the Provo Excelsior Hotel. .'.-.. v . ... A social hour starts off the gala event at 6:30 p.m., with dinner at 7:30 p.m. Dancing to the music of "Raintree" will follow. Mike Johnson will emcee the evenings activities, which will also include an auction of a variety of items. "Le Soleil" is theme of the semi-formal semi-formal event, which will festure an elegant French decor and a French menu. The theme is taken from a bronze sculpture of the same name by French Sculptor, Erie' which, translated, means the sun. The selection will be presented as one of the selections during the upcoming up-coming season of Utah Pageant of the Arts. The dinner-dance-auction is held annually to help raise funds to finance art scholarships. Proceeds go to young artists in the area to encourage their artistic potential.
