Show Juveniles arrested for fifteen vandalism cases in community T wu juveniles have been arrested by Pleasant Grove Police in connection con-nection with 15 cases of vandalism reported recently in the Pleasant Grove-Lindon area, according to police personnel. The cases involved damage done to the tractor of a semi-trailer, theft, window peeking, etc. The youths, aged 13 and 16, have been referred to Juvenile Court. Det. Cody Cullimore worked with the Orem Police Dept. to make arrests for buglaries at Global Coatings on Sam White's Lane in Pleasant Grove, Redman Moving and Storage and Strate Western Concrete Pumping in Lindon. He said that two juveniles and two adults have been taken into custody and two other adults are being sought. Det. Cullimore said that the burglaries all included forced entry and cash and other items were taken. He noted that an Orem police sergeant checked out an individual who was seen near a business one night. When it was later discovered the business had been burglarized, the juvenile was contacted and the investigation went on from there. Those arrested are believed to be responsible for about 13 burglaries including two in Provo, eight in Orem and the three in this area. Police have recovered almost all of the items taken in the burglaries in Pleasant Grove and Lindon except ex-cept the cash. Det. Cullimore said that the police had a search warrant Friday for a trailer in Provo where one of the adults lived. About $6,000 worth of items has been recovered. Det. Cullimore said that the cooperation with the Orem Police Dept. really helped. It was a team effort, he noted. "We have a great relationship with the Orem Police Dept.," he added. Michael Howard, 585 N. State, , Lindon, reported that a Sanyo Stereo valued at $150, $180 in cash, a men's Omega Watch valued at $375 were taken in a burglary at his home. There was $100 damage to a door and six neon light tubes were broken. Officer Randy Shepherd arrested a man for DUI near 400 E. State on Saturday. Mark Walker reported that a window in his car was broken by a thrown rock while it was parked at 470 E. State Road. The window was valued at $70. David Williams, 313 N. 835 East, Lindon, reported that a Mighty Macho BMX bike was taken. It is valued at $130. The police have a suspect on a felony forgery case which they have been working on with American Fork. The check was written out for $922. The victim was Deseret Bank in Lindon. Officers investigated 10 accidents Saturday night between 6 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. due to black ice on the highways. Most of the accidents were on State Road 89. Four of them were injury accidents. Among them was one on Geneva Road near Anderson Lane in which cars driven by Clair Rager, Pleasant Grove, and Robert Eliason, American Fork, collided. There was $8,000 damage to the Rager car and $2,500 to the Eliason auto. According to the officer, apparently ap-parently Eliason looked away from the road briefly and the car wandered wan-dered one foot into the other lane, sideswiping the other car. A child in the Rager car and the driver were treated and released for minor injuries at American Fork Hospital. In an accident at Center near State St. cars driven by John Krom-menhoek, Krom-menhoek, American Fork, and John Lehi Jensen, Pleasant Grove collided. Krommenhoek was taken to American Fork Hospital with possible neck injuries. Damage to the Krommenhoek car was listed at $2,000 and there was $200 to the Jensen vehicle. On Friday several people were treated and released at American Fork Hospital following an accident at 300 E. and State St. The cars involved in-volved in the mishap were driven by Drew Edwards III of Pleasant Grove and Jay Linford of Orem. There was $4,000 damage to the Linford auto and $1,000 damage to the Edwards car. All of the injured were treated for bruises and abrasions. |
