Show New hunter education law effective 11 Beginning January 1, 1988, a new statute becomes law which will affect potential hunters 21 to 23 years of age. The statute states that any person born after December 31, 1965, must show proof of certification cer-tification in hunter education prior to purchasing a Utah hunting license. Nonresidents must show proof that they have completed a similar course in their home state. In the past, Utah residents over the age of 21 (who had taken the course but did not have proof) were allowed to take a written test at one of the Division of Wildlife Resources office to obtain a "blue card." This practice will be discontinued on January 1, 1988. All hunters, regardless of age, will be required to take the full hunter education course. |
