Show Open House at New Hospital To Be Held Monday and Tuesday From 2 P. M. to 8 P. M. , Public Invited to ! Inspect New Unit American Fork's community hospital hos-pital officially opens Monday and Tuesday, May 17th and 18th, when open house will be held to the public from 2 p. m. to 8 p. m. on both days. ; The newly remodeled building is now ready. The larger equipment has arrived and will be placed for the opening dates. Everyone who has thus far seen t the hospital declares that it is a , model set up and they are high in their praise of the splendid equip ment being installed. The committee commit-tee has spared no money whatever in securing operating room equipment. equip-ment. One of the -best operating tables possible to secure has been purchased, a special portable operating operat-ing floor lamp installed and the modern sterilizing equipment together to-gether with all the necessary smaller small-er items have been purchased and are here. Rooms and wards will be fitted out with the newest type of hospital hos-pital beds, matresses, furniture, etc. The kitchen Is electrically equipped and along with the cupboard and other modern fixtures makes a wonderful won-derful room in itself. The nursery section, maternity ward and general setup is unique in its arrangement. When completely furnished the hospital will boast twe large wards, eight private rooms, a maternity section, x-ray and dark room, delivery de-livery room, nursery, operating room, nurses room, emergency operating op-erating room and modern electric kitchen. All in all the local hospital will surpass anything in Utah county for equipment and size. As a means of acquainting the public with this splendid community communi-ty hospital the committee decided on the "open house" idea to let the citizens see just how well the rooms are furnished and the general hospital hos-pital units fixed up and equipped. In connection with the "open house" idea many expressed a desire de-sire to help with small items so the idea of a hospital shower was conceived. con-ceived. Gifts of linen, dishes, cooking cook-ing utensils, odd chairs, dressers, chefferoles, bottled fruit, vegetables, vases, curtain material, etc. will be accepted. The committee extends a hearty welcome to the entire adult public to visit the hospital on next Monday and Tuesday. As announced last week the nurses and other help have been secured, six doctors are on the hospital .doctors .doc-tors staff and everything is in readiness readi-ness to open next week. |
