Show : gain Street brightened with Christmas lights Pleasant Grove's Main Street should be a bit brighter and merrier this year because lights are being placed in the trees along the street's business district to go along with the decorations on the power poles and above the street. Doug Bezzant, foreman of the Parks Dept., reported that after the decorations were put up, it was discovered that there was a short in a power line and some of the decorations on the east end of the street were not lighted. Utah Power and Light Co. helped find this short and make the repairs. In addition, the power company dropped an electric line to each of the trees on Main Street in the downtown area so that the trees could be lighted. The lights for the trees were purchased by the Pleasant Grove-Lindon Grove-Lindon Area Chamber of Commerce and were placed in the trees by Bezzant and his crews. Bezzant also said that Utah Power and Light has helped the city on many occasions when they have had to put up score boards, fix lights, change the time and temperature sign and so forth. Nyle (Nick) Harris is in charge of the Pleasant Grove office for Utah Power and Light. The Chamber of Commerce, along with Mr. Bezzant, expressed its appreciation to Utah Power and Light and Mr. Harris for their assistance in preparing the city for the holidays. The Chamber also thanked the city for its cooperation in the lighting project. Frank Mills and Doug Bezzant were very helpful in every way. OS X; pis X X t x r. fX P !
