B J": theUhiCi Florence M. Tregaskis AMERICAN FORK George Bruce Kerr 28, died Sunday, March 7, 1982 at the American Fork Hospital. He was born Oc ober 3 1953 in Lehi to William G and Florence Beveridge Kerr. He married Christme Rose Chynoweth February 9, 1974 in Pleasant Grove. He was a member of the LDS Church and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. He worked as a plumber and core driller. ' Survivors include his wife, three daughters and a son, Tonya Rachelle, Tyson and Trinity Kerr, all of American Fork; his parents of Pleasant Grove; two brothers, LeRoy Kerr and Flint Kerr, both of Pleasant Grove; two grand- II if ir ir PLEASANT GROVE-Mella GROVE-Mella Mae Ferris Pearson, 70, 500 E. Liattlecreek Drive, died March 2, 1982 at Utah V alley Hospital. She was born September Sep-tember 8, 1911 in Marysvale, Idaho to William and Mae Elizabeth Hansen Ferris. She married Wallace Timothy May 20, 1947. He died in April of 1960. She married Leslie Niels Pearson September 9, 1960. He died February 12, 1980. They were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She had served as secretary of the stake Primary, ward and stake Sunday School secretary, visiting teacher and visiting teacher supervisor for many years. She was the genealogy chairman and served as a stake -missionary. She is survived by two stepsons and three stepdaughters: Mrs. John (Beth) Fry of Richfield; William Pearson, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Bob (Margery) Lundell, Pleasant Grove; Harold (Pink) Timothy, Roosevelt; Verle Moore, Oakland, Calif.; 25 grandchildren and 44 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Olpin Mortuary. Interment was in the Altamont Cemetery in Duchesne County. Pallbearers were Bruce, Doug, David and Dean Lundell, Delbert Fry and Brent Brown. Services were under the direction of Bishop Ellis Allred. Family prayer was given by Doug Lundell with the prelude and postlude music played by Donna Keate. The invocation was by Steve Bown. Remarks were given by Bishop Allred, a tribute by Linda Bown, and President E. Mack Palmer was the speaker. An organ medley was played by Marleen Chappell and a vocal duet composed of Nicole Griffith and Candy Scoville, accompanied by Donna Keate, who sang "Sunset." The benediction was by Irvin L. Pearson. Remarks at the cemetery were by Bishop Brent Brotherson and the dedicatory prayer was by Bob Lundell. r i r 1 r 1 1 Robert L Gardiner PLEASANT GROVE-Robert GROVE-Robert Lloyd Gardiner, 78, 723 Locust Ave., Pleasant Grove, died March 5, 1982 in an Orem rest home. He was born August 24, 1903 in Pleasant Grove, a son of John W. and Annie Nicholes Gardiner. He married Mabel Christine Hansen on August 25, 1930 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a member of the LDS Church, serving ser-ving in the Elder's Quorum presidency and as a Hieh Priest. He also AMERICAN FORK-Funeral FORK-Funeral services were held Friday for Florence McCandless Tregaskis, 95, who died Tues.,Mar. 2, 1982 at the Timpanogos Nursing Home in Orem. She was born Feb. 12, 1887 in Guilford County, North Carolina, a daughter of Julius and Louise Gray McCandless. Mc-Candless. She married James Albert Tregaskis on Dec. 2fi. 1907 in Provo He died April 16, 1957. , She was a member of the LDS Church, serving ser-ving in the Primary and Relief Society for many years. Survivors include two sons, Lloyd Tregaskis, American Fork and Lyle Tregaskis, Orem; seven grandchildren; 2:i great-grandchildren ; and two great-greatgrandchildren. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery under the direction of Anderson and Sons Mortuary. served a stake mission. He was employed at the Star Flour Mills in American Fork and was at Geneva Works for 25 years. He retired in 1968. Surviving are his wife; a son, Robert H. Gardiner; four grandchildren; grand-children; and a niece and nephew whom he reared, Mrs. Ward (Aden) Seybold of Orem and Boyd Gardiner Gar-diner of Salt Lake City. The funeral was held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Grove LDS Ward. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Curtis, Max, Dean and Mark Gardiner, Ward Seybold and Glen Healy. Funeral services were under the direction of Bishop Ellis Allred. The family prayer was given by Bill Gardiner with the prelude and postlude being played by Donna Keate. The invocation was by Oscar Evans and the life sketch by Melanie Gardiner. : M. Keith Bezzant, Donna Brock and Bishop Allred were the speakers. A ladies trio of Mae Bezzant, Lora Johnson and Nicole Griffith, accompanied by Mrs. Keate, sang "Somewhere My Love." An organ medley was played by Mrs. Keate. The benediction was by Harold Bullock and the dedication of the grave was by Floyd Gardiner. Sarah (Sadie) Atwood Beck PLEASANT GROVE-Sarah GROVE-Sarah (Sadie) Atwood Beck, 88, 415 S. 100 E., Pleasant Grove, died March 7, 1982. She was born March 15, 1893 in Manila to Millen Dan and Sarah Wanlass Atwood, the fifth child of six children. She married Wesley Julius Beck on Sep-l Sep-l U mber 26, 1917 in the I Salt Lake LDS Temple. I He died May 17, 1966. i She was educated in Pleasant Grove schools and worked in Alpine 1 School District as a j lunch manager at the j junior high school for j ten years. She served as j president of the I American Legion i Auxiliary and as ! Captain and Chaplain of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was Pleasant Grove's Mother of the Year in 1960. She has been active in the LDS Church, serving in the Relief Society as a visiting teacher, organist, chorister and president for five years. She did genealogy and temple work. She is survived by three sons and two daughters, Reed Atwood At-wood Beck, Salt Lake City; twins, Merrill Wesley Beck, on an LDS ' Mission in Pittsburgh, Pa., and Mrs. Max (Maureen Sadie) Jorgensen, Pleasant Grove; twins, Douglas Julius Beck, Bountiful, and Ardena Beck, Provo; 16 grandchildren and 32 great-granchildren. great-granchildren.
