Show Grovecrest To Hold PTA Elections Grovecrest area residents will hold elections for PTA Vice President Elect March 11 and 12 at the school ' during Parent Teacher Conference. ' Teachers will be meeting with parents in ' the evening of March 11 and March 12 during the day in order to accomodate ac-comodate as many interested parents as possible. Also available for conference on these dates are Mrs. Wadley, school librarian; Tim Humphrey, speech and hearing therapist; Veronica McGrothy, school nurse; and Bryce Holbrook, school psychologist; you will not need an appointment ap-pointment to see these people. Parents are en- school. Her husband is Richard Tomlinson, owns Tomlinson Custom Body and Paint, here in Pleasant Grove. The Tomlinson's have three boys: Justin, 9; Clinton, 5; and Vincent 2 and a half months. "PTA is of ink-rest to me because it keeps me in touch with school programs, problems and needs. If trusted with this position, of vice president, I will make every effort to fulfill my responsibility and try to make this coming year's program a success, "said Mrs. Tomlinson. Elections will also beheld be-held for Second Vice President for Ihe new Manila Elementary school. Representing Ihe couraged to visit the school and teachers to become better acquainted and discuss the students progress. Watch for the election display while visiting the school. Lesa Price and Miriam Tomlinson, two very enthusiastic women have shown interest in the vice president position. Lesa Price was born in Logan and raised in Hyrum. She graduated from Sky View High School and then attended at-tended Ut. State University. There she met her husband, Dan Price and were later married in May of 1975. They have four girls and are currently living at 566 West 850 North. "I have a desire to become actively involved in-volved in my children's education and inasmuch as our children are our leaders of tomorrow, I feel that it is very important im-portant to give them the best education possible," stated Mrs. Price. Miriam Tomlinson was born and raised in the American Fork area and graduated from American Fork high Manila area is Judy Schow. Her husband Robert is a business consultant for Aurthur Anderson and Company. Com-pany. The Schow's have ihree children: Robert Jr. 6; Ryan, 4; and Rebecca Jo, 2. This year the Schow's also have a student from Denmark living wilh them, Lisebilleskov Jansen. "I love children and I know I hat I could dedicate some of my lime to helping Ihe community and school. Knowing whal is going on and why is very important lo me because I hey are teaching the most important Ihings we have . . . our children," staled Mrs. Schow. Another candidate representing the Manila area will be announced at a later dale. These candidates will be heading up the new Manila Elementary school and I'TA. PTA Board members encourage all PTA members lo show I heir support by voting in the upcoming election this Thursday' and Friday. |
