Gerry White told of he preparation he nade as a youngster jid also after high school to prepare himself for police work. A desire to help others and to protect our freedom was a motivation force that directs many to this type of work A police officer is a citizen's good friend. He is the one to look for if you are in trouble. A friendly feeling between a student and a police officer is a desirable thing. Through a question and answer period the students were able to hear of the many different dif-ferent phases of police work. A much better understanding and appreciation of our law officers resulted because of this interaction. in-teraction. Leon Laws and Jack Wright introduced the students to the police cars and the equipment they have. Of course the siren and the lights highlighted this part of the presentation.
