Show Notice of Intention provements such as lawns, sprinkling systems, rock gardens, driveways, curbs, sidewalks, wall, fences, trees, asphalt, etc., which are located within the area to be improved shall be removed by the con-: tractor as part of the project and the cost thereof may be assessed against the abutting property in addition' to the assessment for other purposes. ASSESSMENTS AND LEVY OF TAXES It is the intention of the City Council of Pleasant Grove, Utah to levy assessments as PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 15th day of June, 1976, the Mayor and City Council of Pleasant Grove City, Utah County, Utah, adopted a resolution declaring its intention in-tention to create a special improvement district to be known as "Pleasant Grove City, Utah County, Utah, Special Improvement District No. 76-1". It is the intention of the City Council to make improvements im-provements within Special Improvement District No. 76-1 and to levy special taxes as provided in Chaper 16, Title 10, Utah Code annotated, 1953, as amended, on the real estate lying within said District for the benefit of which such taxes are to be expended in the making of such improvements. DESCRIPTION OF DISTRICT It is intended that the proposed Special Improvement District No. 76-1 shall include 1300 East Street from 200 South Street to 400 North Street and all parcels of land and lots abutting both sides of 1300 East Street from 200 South Street to 400 North Street. INTENDED IMPROVEMENTS The improvements to be constructed within Special Improvement District No. 76-1 include the grading, construction con-struction or reconstruction of curb, gutter, and street paving; the relocation of utilities, box culverts, cross gutters. Additional Ad-ditional construction work may be done such as excavation, filling, grading, the removal of non-conforming improvements and the completion of other miscellaneous work necessary or appropriate to complete the improvements in a workmanlike work-manlike manner. Without limiting the above general description of improvements, im-provements, it is intended to excavate for and construct a curb and gutter combination including drive approaches at driveways; to excavate, grade and construct Daving and or provided by the laws of Utah on all parcels and lots of real i property abutting 1300 East Street from 200 South Street to. 400 North Street to the rear ( property line of said parcels or ( lots or to a depth of 12 rods from j the centerline of 1300 East ( Street, whichever is the lesser. , The purpose of the assessment , and levy is to pay the costs of the subject improvements. The j method of assessment shall be j apportioned according to lineal front footage of abutting lots and parcels of property. The assessments may be paid by property owners in ten (10) annual installments with interest in-terest on the unpaid balance at a rate or rates not to exceed ten percent (10 percent) per annum as fixed by the City Council, or the whole or any part of the assessments shall be levied according to the benefits to be derived by each property within the district. Other payment provisions and enforcement en-forcement remedies shall be in accordance with Chapter 16 of Title 10 of Utah Code Annotated, An-notated, 1953. A map of the proposed district, copies of plans, profiles and specifications of the proposed improvements and other related information are on file in the office of the City Recorder who will make such information available to all interested persons. The estimated cost per lineal front foot of property abutting 1300 East Street from 200 South Street to 400 North Street is as follows: Improvement: Curb and Gutter, $5.00 per lineal front foot, each side. Street Paving, $12.00 per lineal front foot, each side. Reallocation for Corner Lots, Catch Basins and Miscellaneous General Items and Expenses, $2.25 per lineal front foot, each side. Total Estimated Cost per Lineal Front Foot, $19.95 All non-conforming im- PROTESTS Any person who is the owner . of property to be assessed in the special improvement district described in this Notice of Intention shall have the right to file in writing a protest against the creation of Special Improvement Im-provement District No. 76-1 or to make any other objections relating thereto. Protests shall describe or otherwise identify the property owners by the. person or persons making the protest. Protests shall be filed with the City Recorder of Pleasant Grove City, Utah on or before 5:00 o'clock, p.m. on the 20th day of July, 1976. Thereafter at 6:00 o'clock p.m. on the 20th day of July, 1976, the City Council will meet in public meeting at the City Hall to consider all protests so filed and hear all objections relating to the proposed Special Improvement Im-provement District No. 76-1.
