Southam and Warburton Mas Mew Business Building in Industrial Area The new building still needs work inside, and a little fixing fix-ing up outside, but we're operating oper-ating out of it and it is proving prov-ing a good investment, said Dale Warburton and Leslie Southam Tuesday about their new building in the Pleasant Grove Industrial complex. Southam and Warburton Aluminum Al-uminum Co. started in April, 1973 with the two young men as partners in a new business opportunity. Growth was fast, and at present there are 13 fulltime men and 4 part time , men, all of whom live in Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove. S & W Aluminum adds to the economy of the area ar-ea with a $2,000 plus weekly payroll. The new company is the Reynolds Metals Co. distributor distribu-tor for the Utah area south of Salt Lake City. They hava a-vailable a-vailable wholesale material for contractors and builders as retail sales for the private home improvement buff. The company specializes in installing aluminum United States steel siding, soffits, and shutters and aluminum singles on new and old homes as welJ as commercial buildings and churches. They also carry and install awnings, patio covers, trailer skirting and various specialty materials. Mayor W. Cornell Haynie said the company is an asset to Pleasant Grove, both as a tax-base increase, and as a income adding feature of our city. He said the Industrial Park is proving out, slowly but surely in the growth of our city. Both Mr. Southam and Mr. Warburton are 1961 PGHS grads and later both graduated from BYU. Mr. Warburton is a native of Pleasant Grove. |
