Was one of the largest Eagle presentation ever in District 21 Ssuts Get I eagle lodges Ion !Ml off Honor Held on Sunday Twenty-one Scouts received their Eagle Badges in impressive impress-ive ceremonies at the Pleasant Grove Stake Center Sunday. Floyd Loveridge, Scouting - District Chief Executive, gave the Etgle Charge to the boys. Recipients were Steven Johnson, John-son, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Clif-ford Johnson; Mark , Crump, son of Bishop and Mrs. Don Crump; Jeff Ford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dell Ford; Mike Hill, son of Mr. and Mrs. DeMont E. Hill; and Don Fenton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Fenton. Others receiving the award were Chad Atkinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Atkinson; Doug and Bruce, sons of Mr. and Mrs. C Bob Lundell; Hal Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kent Anderson; and Bryan Robbins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Robbins. Also becoming Eagles were Russ Merrill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Merrill; Paul and David Maughan, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Maughan; Keith Wesley, son of Mrs. Clois Wesley; Myron Adams, son of Mrs. Floyd Adams; Kent Prest wich, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kent Prestwich; and Tim Hoffer, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hoffer. Other new Eagle Scouts are Rick Rowland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Rowland; Bryce Green, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin R. Green; Chris Biggs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred N. Biggs; and Dan Shumway, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale L. Shumway. Shum-way. One of the largest Eagle presentations ever held in the district, this special occasion attracted a crowd of 450 people. peo-ple. Advancements totaled 190 and 148 merit badges were awarded. Eight other boys had earned their Eagle badges but the badges bad-ges did not arrive in time so they will be given out next month. One week ago two Pleasant Grove men were honored for having been the first two Eagle Scouts in the Utah National Parks Council representing more than 50 years of Scouting Scout-ing for each of them. They were Harold and Paul Walker. |
