Show r - : - lvv V 1 f i I ' 1 r - ' " " i : j "i "r: i 1 I i .1 0 A . , ...i t J KORIN NORTON DUANE BERRY Two Students' Posters Sent to Finals in Woodsy Owl Contest Two Pleasant Grove elementary elemen-tary students who were first place winners recently in the "Woodsy Owl" poster contest have had their posters sent on, along with others in the state of Utah, to Washington D.C. where they will compete for national awards. Local winners are Duane Berry, fifth grade student at Grovecrest and Korin Norton, second grade student from the Valley View. Duane is a son of Mr. and Mrs.. Louis Berry, and Korin is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Norton. The local contest was sponsored spon-sored by the Pleasant Grove Garden Club, and they congratulate con-gratulate the winners of the local contest, on their achievement achieve-ment of placing in the state and being eligible to compete in the national contest. "Woodsy Owl" will be a new symbol used by the Forest Service, Ser-vice, along with Smokey the Bear, to advertise use of the forest areas by campers and visitors. |
