Show Elder Marion Hanks Speaks to Two P.G. Conferences Members of the Pleasant Grove Stake and visitors to the conference heard Elder Marion D. Hanks, Assistant to the Twelve, tell of the need for church membrs to practice brotherhood in their relationship relation-ship with neighbors and associates. assoc-iates. He decried the practice of professed followers of Christ who maintain an attitude of superiority toward those of other religions. There is nothing noth-ing in our religion that would make us antagonistic toward another person, whatever his beliefs, Elder Hanks everred. It is important to understand that our relationship with all men should be that of love. We are not perfect enough to stand in any sequestered spot of superiority. Elder Hanks cited two basic evils which God told Jeremiah have caused people to fall. They have forsaken God the living fountain of water and have hewed themselves out broken cisterns that will hold no water. Gou, speaking thru His prophets, has testified that He lives, and that He will give revelation through His prophets pro-phets for this time as He did of old. We should share this message with gratitude for it has been given for all men who will accept. Elder Hanks gave several examples to illustrate true brotherhood in action. In his remarks, President Leon Walker stated that we must have unity to be known as the Church of Christ. He gave special recognition to Stake Elders Quorum Presidencies, Presiden-cies, Presidents of the 44th Quorum of Seventy, group leaders of the High Priests Quorum and the twenty-four servicemen and forty - eight missionaries serving from the stake. There is no greater responsibility re-sponsibility than to teach children to walk uprightly, he said.
