Show Registration Now On for Spring Quarter at UTC Utah Technical College at Provo will begin its spring quarter the week of March 19 with registration for new students stu-dents on that day and classes starting March 20. According to Mrs. Mabel 01-sen, 01-sen, Utah Tech registrar, the nearly 2,000 day school students stu-dents now completing the' winter win-ter quarter will preregister for the spring term on March 12, 13 and 14. The foregoing schedules are for the Day School, said Mrs. Olsen. Evening School schedules sched-ules will be announced, but basically will run concurrently with the day school. New students not currently attending Utah Tech may enroll en-roll in a variety of day school classes which still have openings, open-ings, although several courses are already full, according to Dale Peterson, vice president Areas where new registrations registra-tions may be accepted for the spring quarter include: Business accounting, data processing, medical receptionist, reception-ist, legal secretary, clerk-typist, stenographer and secretary. Marketing Fashion merchandising, mer-chandising, service station management, hotel-motel management, man-agement, business management and marketing management. Automotive Auto mechanics mech-anics and auto body. Professional driving. Commercial Art and Graphics. Graph-ics. Drafting and design technology. technol-ogy. Machine shop. General education a wide variety of general academics courses are available, leading to associate of science degrees or for transfer to 4-year colleges coll-eges and universities. Vice President Peterson said several -other areas are open to new students, but on condition con-dition they have had sufficient prior training or background, because this being the spring quarter they are in advanced stages. The student must have advance approval, based on training or experience to enroll in these classes. They include electrical and automo-ation automo-ation technology, radio and TV repair, electronics, refrigeration, refrigera-tion, diesel mechanics and building buil-ding construction. |
