Show Troop 21 Scouts Move Many Guests at 'Hotel' - - . . ... u.J 4 Advertising was provided by The Pleasant Grove Review, the Daily Herald, KOVO and Hiatt Printing of Provo. Troop 21 scouts and the Pleasant Grove Second Ward deasons were honored the past week with many out of town guests at their new-old hotel. They would like to thank all of those who helped with this project by donating time and materials. They would also like to thank those who purchased their annual 'Spook and Fright' insurance policies. All claims have now been honored and we are proud to say that our policy pol-icy holders were accident free the evening of Halloween. We will make one comment regarding regard-ing those who did not have policies. pol-icies. Pictures of the Hotel and ghosts will soon be available at 50c each for 8x10 black and white enlargements. Special orders will be available at slightly higher prices. Last Thursday evening the scouts were delighted to have several young ladies from the Rest Home in Lindon as guests for an evening of fun.They enjoyed en-joyed a tour throughout the ghost rooms, the movie "Man's Search for Happiness," and "Blood Punch" and donuts compliments of the Deacon's Quorum. The ladies were careful care-ful not to choke on the donuts holes. They also won a large Halloween cake furnished by the Pleasant Grove Bakery as a door prize. Winners of the Jack-O-Lantern contest included the following: Adults, Layne West, large pizza from the Purple Turtle; Teen division, Kirk Thacker, hair cut from Teds Barber Shop. Several place winners from the local schools won quart bottles of pop from Ideal Market and shaving notions no-tions from Smith Drug. Children's.Theron Nay Children, Child-ren, car wash at Glen's Ameri-ican Ameri-ican and individual Halloween gifts from Ben Franklins Store and the Fowler boys from Alpine Al-pine also received gifts from Ben Franklin's. Door prizes were won by many individuals. These gifts were provided by Radmall Hardware, Christensen's Dept. Store, Smith Bros. Market, All American Realty, and Story Pharmacy. Thanks goes to other oth-er professional men who donated donat-ed cash but asked that we not mention their names. |
