Show License Plate Mail-in Forms Are Now Out, Says County Assessor All car owners of Utah County Coun-ty who have owned their vehicles ve-hicles since August should have now received their mail-in mail-in forms for 1973 license plates according to Harrison Con-over, Con-over, Utah County Assessor. Mr. Conover reports that mail-in forms have been sent out to some 50,000 passenger car owners, His office i3tx.iow preparing to mail out forms for pick-up trucks and they should be in the mail this week. A deadline, for Jan. 31 has been set fqs-mailing in the applications ap-plications ffor licenses. Persons who have recently purchased vehicles, or who wish to obtain ob-tain their plates in person will have until the end of February to obtain them in person at the County Building. Mr. Conover points out that his office was able to mail out only , two license plate forms per envelope. If residents have additional vehicles and did not receive their forms in the mail, they may telephone his office and the forms will be typed up and sent out. He warns, however how-ever that the car owner must have his registration form in front of him when he telephones, tele-phones, so that he can relay i the proper information con- j cerning serial numbers and other details. Each year the office licenses some 90,000 vehicles, including passenger cars and pick-up trucks. Owners of larger trucks are required to go to the office to pick up their plates. Soon after the first of the year, the office will begin mailing out license forms for boats and campers which were , previously registered. Owners who purchased boats and campers recently will have to j go to the County Building to 1 get their registration in person. By the first of the year, the Assessor's office will also begin be-gin mailing out tax forms for mobile homes which were assessed as-sessed previously. Along with these will go notices that the taxes must be paid within 90 days. Mr. Conover said field men will be checking all the mobile home parks to pick up any new registrations. The forms mailed out the previous registrations will carry red stamps instructing instruct-ing the postmaster not to forward for-ward them. |
