Show Slow Break Basketball Ends Season Last week saw the close of the Adult Slow Break Basketball Basket-ball league, with Doug's TV defeating Doug Johnson's "John's Question Marks" 36-20 while in the other game of the evening Clarence Wilson's "Ka-zco "Ka-zco Mfg. Co." took a close game from Lyle Christiansen's "Chris's Candy Cuties" 18-16 in a hard-fought overtime. The 1970-71 season saw many hard fought and well played games with a total of five participating par-ticipating teams. "Harper's Collection" led by Darrell Harper, Har-per, went through the season undefeated, followed by the Ka-zco Ka-zco Mfg. Co. and Doug's TV, who tied for second. "Chris's Candy Cuties" and Johnson's Question Marks" followed in that order. It is anticipated that the 1971-72 1971-72 season will be even bigger and better. However, he mentioned for any-wanting any-wanting to play the coming year (residents of Pleasant Grove, Lindon and Manila) that team and individual registration registra-tion will be held in November with league play starting in December next year. Mr. Hoglund also expressed his thanks and appreciation for the team captains, and the high school administration and custodial cus-todial staff for their cooperation coopera-tion in making the league a going and continuing program. |
