Show LDS Seminary Has Functions for Students, Officers The Pleasant Grove Seminary Semin-ary had its annual Senior Trek Saturday, Sept. 25. Church History His-tory students met at 6:30 a.m. and had breakfast, and the bus pulled out at 7:30 to follow the Mormon Trai through Immigration Immi-gration Canyon. They stopped at the "This Is the Place" monument, mon-ument, and Pioneer Village, after af-ter which we headed for home. Leadership Breakfast A breakfast was held for this year's class officers on Saturday, Satur-day, Sept. 18. It started at 7 a.m. and after eating a devotional devo-tional was held. The officers then separated for the individual indivi-dual workshops, after which they re-assembled to have a speaker. Richard Cowan from the BYU Religion Dept. talked to the students. Morning Side Pleasant Grove Seminary held its first morningside of the year Thursday, Sept. 23. Students came at 7:15 a.m. for refreshments, after which they heard Dr. Moreno Robins speak. There were about 250 students in attendance. This year the seminary is having competition between classes. The seniors are ahead. At the end of the year a trophy will be awarded to the class with the highest amount of points. Next morningside will be in October and Dick Nemelka of the Utah Stars basketball team will be the speaker. |
