Show 25 YEARS AG From the files of The Review Friday, November 16, 1945 The regular meeting of the Pleasant Grove Jaycees was held at the Alpine Villa Grill, Wednesday evening. President Lawrence Farr was in charge. Speakers were Earl Giles, coach and Harold Woolston, assistant coach at the Pleasant Grove High School. 25 Years Ago The Timpanogos Stake Presidency Presi-dency with their wives, and the high council with their wives will be guests of the Granite Stake next Sunday. They will furnish an exchange program for that which the Granite Stake brought here sometime ago. 25 Years Ago The American Legion and the Auxiliary throughout the county coun-ty are preparing Chirstmas boxes for hospitalized service men and women. The quota for the local post is 40 boxes. The Christmas boxes will be sent to the Bushnell Hospital. 25 Years Ago Mrs. Max Ferre was elected president of the Modernette Club at the meeting held last Wednesday evening. Mrs. Robert Rob-ert Sutch was named secretary and Ms. Glen Noble reporter. 25 Years Ago Mrs. Leah Bullock was hostess host-ess to the Merrymakers on Thursday evening of last week. Lieut. Madge Kirk, was a special spec-ial guest and talked to the ladies lad-ies of her experiences as an army nurse. 25 Years Ago A Victory Pageant, portraying portray-ing the past, present and hope for the future of America will be presented on Friday, Nov.. 16. This pageant will be presented pre-sented by 420 students of the Pleasant Grove Grade School. It is composed and directed by Mrs. Lacy O. White. 25 Years Ago On Friday, Nov. 15 the Third Ward Bishopric, assisted by the MIA will conduct a party in honor of their service men, active act-ive and discharged. The entertainment enter-tainment will feature a program pro-gram and dance.
