Show PLEASANT GROVE HIGH SCHOOL NEWS and VIEWS by Shaun McCausland It's a busy week this week as everyone prepares for the Christmas holidays. Of main emphasis is the Christmas concert con-cert and assembly on Friday. The concert will feature the high school band and choruses and an art show in the hall featuring works by our students. stu-dents. It will begin at 6 p.m. The Christmas dance is scheduled sche-duled for Saturday at 8 p.m. Admission is 75 cents and the group will be MOOSE. Casual dress is in order. Next Tuesday is Opportunity Opportun-ity Day. The counselors are bringing in about 45 different people to talk to the students about various occupational choices. The students will have a choice of which people they want to hear. Also Tuesday is the Christmas Christ-mas Assembly. It's supposed to be something special but no one seems to know much about it. I guess we will find out on Tuesday. On the sports scene it's even ev-en busier. The wrestlers are going on the road mis week. Tonight they travel to Orem and then Monday they go to Carbon for region matches. Tuesday will see them in Granger Gran-ger for another practice match The basketball schedule is very interesting this week. The cagers finish up pre-season with two double headers. On Friday, Lehi meets Uintah and Wasatch meets Pleasant Grove and on Saturday they go to Wasatch to play Uintah while Lehi and Wasatch will play in the second game. There is a special Family Night Friday and admission to both games is only $1.50 a family-Next Tuesday the Orem Tigers Tig-ers will meet us here for our first Region basketball game. |
