Show Paul A. Berger Assumes Job As Superintendent, Timp Cave j.:.-.. - .'4 ... . " s V- v . f i' '' ." f ' , ,: ; Paul A. Berger, Superintendent Superinten-dent of El Morro National Monment in New Mexico for the past six years, has been appointed ap-pointed Superintendent of Tim-panogos Tim-panogos Cave National Monument. Monu-ment. He succeeds Thomas A. Walker, who recently retired. Supt. Berger joined the National Nat-ional Park Service in 1946 and then spent nine years at Glacier Glac-ier National Park, Montana, and four years at Mt. Rush-more Rush-more National Memorial, South Dakota, before transferring to El Morro National Monument. He was born in Lincoln, 111., and grew up on a farm in that area. He received a degree in biology and Chemistry from Shurtleff College in Alton Illinois. Later he supervised sports programs at Pillsbury Academy, Acad-emy, Owatana, Minn. His plans were changed when he joined the U.S. army and after discharge dis-charge he began his National Parks service. Supt. Berger said that he is pleased with the Timpanogos PAUL A. BERGER New Timp Cave Superintendent Cave area and has found the people here friendly and the staff good. He and his wife, the former Ann Graham, reside at the residence res-idence facilities in American Fork Canyon. |
