W CONTRACT SIGNED Mayor Paul Fordham and Lee Brown sign contract for sewer ex tension and renovation, while Ross Syphus, engineer for the city, looks on approvingly. Contract Signed For PG Sewer Extension A contract was signed last week for a $155,870 sewer extension ex-tension project for Pleasant Grove City. Signatores to the agreement were Mayor Paul T. Fordham, representing Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove City Corporation and Lee Dell Brown, representing the Brown Plumbing and Heating, Heat-ing, Inc. of Provo. The project, which will be carried forward mainly in the eastern part of the city, was made possible by a federal grant of one-half of the principal prin-cipal sum from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Develop-ment, Washington, D.C. The other one-half of the cost of the project will be paid from city funds. In addition, the city will install service stubs at present and future home sites under separate contract con-tract arrangements. Friday, Nov. 1, Max C. Bees-ley, Bees-ley, area engineer of the DHUD will be in Pleasant Grove to meet with Mayor Paul T. Fordham, Ford-ham, City Engineer Ross Syphus Sy-phus and the contractor, 'to discuss dis-cuss procedures to be followed during the contract period. After the necessary approval of plans and procedures by the federal agency, it is hoped that construction will begin by the middle of November, 1968, the Mayor noted. |
