Show school adjusted to help pea pickers principal asks cooperation of parents and students in program for week tho the following communication from principal glenn E snow of 01 the high school gives the schedule tor for classes for next week because of 0 the interference ot of pea picking and school work and be cause there are a number 0 of students applying for work permits to harvest corn it was decided in a meeting of pea growers officials and school people thursday night to ask that the school schedule lie be changed chanced during the next week or ten days to permit attendance in school during the morning and work in the fields during the afternoon the school schedule can he be arranged to take care of six 45 minute classes during the morning it if school starts at and closes at twelve then the students atu dents can g go 0 theme home get a good dinner and work during the afternoon in the fields such a program will permit more pea pickers and more corn cutters to work during the day and the school people would greatly appreciate the cooperation of 0 the community and paragonah Para gonah nall in this program it if it Is possible by this or arrangement ran gement the crops will be harvested no student need lose his bonus because of quitting to continue school work and school itself will be able to carry on for the short time it will require for the good ot of the students there should be every effort to see that they get good rest and that ihal other things are arranged to help them to adjust to the program tor for the few days that are necessary |
