Show last rites held for clarence edgar dalton funeral service were held saturday afternoon at 2 in the east ward chapel for clarence edgar dalton whose passing was reported in last weeks issue of this paper they were conducted by elmer gurr of the ward bishopric and commenced with a mixed quartet consisting of alice mitchell berta burton clair rowley and karl mitchell the beautiful country with itha at the piano john L lowder offered the opening prayer and luella A dalton was the first speaker realign sentiments and giving some of the dalton family history mrs scott day s sang ang a solo unanswered yet with della delia marsden at the piano walter C mitchell life long friend of the deceased and his employer much of the time when he was a resident of parowan carowan was the second speaker with elder gurr making a few closing remarks the mixed quartet sa sang ng abide me as the closing number and william U thornton offered the closing prayer at the cemetery the grave was dedicated by wm C mitchell pallbearers Pall bearers were john S carlyle harley and rulon dalton claude burton and clark orton |
