NEW presidency NAMED FOR EAST WARD RELIEF SOCIETY A new presidency pre was sustained by the east ward relief societal Socie society tyl lost last wednesday afternoon in in connection with the closing social of that organization which suspends meetings for the summer eva bennett is the new president and her councillors are nellie bentley and alice M halterman and all three women have been very active in this and other organizations for many years gladys benson who has been secretary of the society under the retiring presidency will wi il continue on under the new officers the retiring officers ore are florence al joseph president tl with dorothy C ward and mary alary 0 Al mitchell itchell as councillor rs sIrs af air s joseph resigned after four years as president and a continuous service as an executive officer ever since the east ward was created mrs airs ward and mrs mitchell have also served the society in in one capacity or other for almost as many years the resignation of the president also releases all other officers ol 01 I 1 the organization including the visiting I 1 teachers class leaders etc this 1 will necessitate a complete of the society which will be done within a very short time
