Show exchange club elects new officers at outing L J adams was elected d ent dent of th the parowan carowan exchange club at its election meeting and outing held at the vermilion castle forest camp monday night robert B mitchell was elected as secretary to serve with mr air adams for the coming year the two newly elected officers succeed john 11 II pendleton and C W elliott as president and secretary respectively A delicious lunch was served to twenty members their partners and guests at seven after which the rest of the evening was spent in group singing story telling and listening to reports from some ot 01 the standing committees ivan decker of the road committee reported that his group was still doing all in its power to see that promises made by the state roid commission and iron county in regards to putting an oil mulch on the main canyon road up as far as the four mile and oiling of parowan carowan main street from curb to curb be carried out that committee is still working for improvements on the main canyon road above the four mile and especially in the bear flat area the county has promised to send the new caterpillar tractor which they are purchasing into par owan canyon as son as it is delav ered W W mitchell of the civic improvement pro committee outlined in in brief some things that would tend to beautify the city and add to its attractiveness as a stop over for tourists president john H pendleton outlined in part some of the aims of the club for the past year and made suggestions to the newly elected officers f guests present at the outing included mr air and mrs airs george shields of arizona and mr and mrs morris johnson who are spending the summer in parowan carowan Pa rowan |
