Show IPqpflncee IEeflpgDirit Cable television isn't free During an otherwise quiet week in Park City, the police blotter shows numerous thefts, several warrant arrests ar-rests and a case of theft of services from a cable T.V. company. On Sept. 9, 1983, Frank Marold of Community T.V. of Utah reported that Doug Davidson of 1027 Woodside allegedly had spliced into the T.V. cable illegally. Marold told the Park City Police Department that three weeks ago he had contacted Davidson about a billing at that address. According to Marold, Davidson had told him that he had just moved into the residence and wouldn't pay for his predecessor's prede-cessor's bill and didn't want to subscribe to the service. Marold said that he disconnected discon-nected the cable at that time but found it reconnected upon inspection three weeks later. Marold said that three weeks of cable T.V. would cost $24. On the evening of Sept. 10, Park City police officers observed Mike D. Summer-hays Summer-hays of Salina, Utah urinating urinat-ing on the northwest corner of the Black Pearl building. He was cited for public lewdness. A subsequent check on Summerhays showed show-ed that he had three out- standing "failure to appear" warrants in Salt Lake City. Summerhays was booked into the Summit County Jail in Coalville. In another warrant arrest, Park City police officers observed Michael V. Cucc-hiara Cucc-hiara in Mileti's bar while on routine patrol. Cucchiara is wanted for an outstanding warrant. The Police Department Depart-ment has been unable to locate Cucchiara because they have had no current address for him. Cucchiara was arrested at the scene and booked into the county jail. Gary Allen was arrested on Sept. 7 at his Park Avenue residence for an outstanding traffic warrant. The traffic citation was issued in Park City, the warrant came from Third District Court. Allen was booked into the County Jail, bail was set at $40. On Sept. 12, Mary Lehmer of Park City reported to police that her purse was stolen while she was on the patio at the Silver King Lodge. Lehmer said she laid her purse down on a dresser in one of the suites at the lodge. When she returned the purse was missing. She told the police that many people were in and out of the suite during the course of her stay. The purse is described as a wine-colored clutch-type purse. Contents are listed as a Rocky Mountain Bank checkbook, Visa and Mastercharge cards, keys and prescription glasses. Value is listed at $300. Peggy Clark of the Soap Opera Cleaners reported on Sept. 12 that a 10-inch Zenith T.V. was stolen from the cleaners some time Sunday, Sept. 11. The television is valued at $150. On Sept. 11, Ken Lindskov of Summit Park reported the theft of a 1981 Honda ATC 2000 c.c. three-wheeled vehicle. vehi-cle. Lindskov told police that his son, Steve, age 18, was driving the family truck along Utah Highway 224 when the vehicle bounced off the tailgate. Steve went for help since the vehicle was too heavy for him to lift. When he returned, 30 minutes min-utes later, the vehicle was missing. Richard Verlius of Edwards Ed-wards Tile, a Salt Lake City firm, reported on Sept. 8 that tools left in an unfurnished room at the Park Hotel were stolen over the previous weekend. The stolen items are listed as: one Milwaukee 3 8 drive drill and one orange 10-foot extension cord Value is set at $120. A noise complaint against the Alamo Bar was given to police by an unknown person on Sunday Sept. 4. Park City police officers asked the doorman at the Alamo to keep the music down and the door closed. The doorman told officers that since the bar was crowded it was difficult to keep the doors closed at all times. Park City police made a DUI and possession of a controlled substance arrest on Sunday, Sept. 11. A Salt Lake City man was arrested after officers observed his vehicle running the stop sign at Main Street and Heber Avenue. The report said his vehicle continued down the dirt section of Main Street. After failing the field sobriety sobri-ety test, the subject was searched and a substance resembling cocaine was found in his pocket. A Midway, Utah woman was arrested on Sept. 7 for DUI after officers observed the vehicle she was driving weaving down Park Avenue. She was booked into the county jail. In a related matter, Park City police arrested the passenger riding in the aforementioned vehicle for public intoxication after he failed to cooperate with police. |
