Mim Heggen and Ron Rinderknecht of Park City plan to stack the deck a bit when it comes to this aspect; they will soar above Park City after repeating their marriage vows in a hot air balloon. Mim and Ron, a flight attendant and pilot for Western Airlines, will be united by the Reverend Daniel Turmer of Decorah, Iowa. The ceremony will take place on the Park City golf course early Friday morning. The couple will take their nupital flight in the celebrated Treaty of Paris balloon, a show-stopper whose royal blue background is highlighted by the flags of France, Britain and the United States. The pilot for the flight will be Patrick Michaels, the official pilot of the balloon, from Virginia. The Treaty of Paris balloon is in Park City for the three-day hot air balloon festival, Autumn Aloft. More than 20 balloons will fill the skies on Saturday and Sunday as the Park City Balloon Club presents its first festival. its first festival. Please turn to special section for details.
