Show Salt Lake is quivering over Jello Salad Fest Liberty Park will be the site of Salt Lake City's newest celebration, The Last Annual Jello Salad Festival, Saturday Sept. 17. Festivities Festivi-ties for the event, sponsored by Utah Holiday Magazine, will run from 4 to 7 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top entries in the Jello Salad Variety Show in a variety of categories including includ-ing Mr. and Ms. Jello Salad, i Also on the program are presentations by the Salt Lake Acting Company, the Saliva Sisters, and the Cyprus High Spinnakers, a precision drill team. The Skyline Jazz Band, Hardin Davis of the Jordan River Uptown Band as well as The Big Band Sounds of Jack Stevens will provide music for the event culminating in a dance at 5:30 p.m. Arthur Murray Dancers will be available to demonstrate and teach anyone interested. Booths selling imaginative and tasty Jello salads will be sponsored by local restaurants, restau-rants, Confetti, New Orleans Cafe, Market Street Broiler, Andy's Smorgasbord, The Wasatch Front and Golden Plates Catering. AH attending are encouraged encour-aged to bring a picnic dinner and their dancing shoes. |
