At the society's board meeting which was held last week, the new officers suggested that the Historical Society host a Park City Reunion to celebrate the centennial. Although a definite defin-ite date for the reunion has not been set, Ringholz said a giant picnic might be tied in with the traditional Miner's Day holiday. "We want to attract as many former Parkites and. their descen- . dants as possible. Then we would like to tape interviews with them as part of our ongoing oral history project," pro-ject," she said. "At this time we do not want to get diluted with too many huge activities. But we do want to engender more enthusiasm. Everyone believes in it but everyone is also so busy. We welcome more participation from anyone who is interested." The group's next meeting will be held on Monday Jan. 9 at 5 p.m. at the library. |
