Show Let the Games begin Editor: The warmth and hospitality of Park City shone once again. During the recent Special Olympics Annual Conference, held at the Prospector Square Hotel and Conference Center, Cen-ter, many Park City people assisted the IWSOG in introducing two hundred chapter and national Special Olympic directors to the site of the 1984 International Winter Special Olympics Games. The 1985 IWSOG staff would like to extend a big thanks and well-deserved round of applause to: Mayor Jack Green and the City Council, the Park City Chamber Bureau, Park City Transportation, the Park City Ski Area, Homemade Treasures, The Hat Store, The Leather Shop, Dolly's, Design Coalition, The Grubsteak Restaurant, Restau-rant, Prospector Square Hotel and Conference Center, Clover Club Foods, the Park City Prospectors, Richard Scott and Central Check-In, the U.S. Ski Team, Silver King Bank, Park City Transit, Ogden Food Service, the Alpine Slide, Stedman Catering, Al Joy and The Main Street Band, The Park Record, The Silver Creek String Band and Three Kings Condominiums. As a preview of our city's facilities and hospitality, the Annual conference confer-ence was a smashing success. All of the Special Olympics chapter and national directors are returning home with enthusiasm for Park City, and secure in the knowledge that they and all 3,000 International Games participants will be welcomed back next March by friends.
