Show Marketing head named for Prospector hotel Ken J. Mompellier has been named director of marketing for the Prospector Square Hotel and Conference Center in Park City. General manager Craig Callister said Mompellier will handle all sales and marketing activity for the hotelconvention center, which is managed by Colony Resorts, Inc., a subsidiary of the Carlson Travel Company. Mompellier has been associated with the travel and hospitality industry for almost 20 years. Prior to joining Prospector Square, he ran his own travel marketing and consulting firm, Travel Scope, in Salt Lake City. From 1978 until 1984 he held several sales and marketing positions with the Salt Lake Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau. He has also been vice president of Empire Travel, group sales manager for Moana Corporation and sales promotion manager for the Greater Park City Company. He began his career as manager of the New Park Hotel in Park City. Mompellier has been active in many travel industry organizations including Travel Industries of America, National Tour Association, American Bus Association and the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce : Tourism Committee. He was director of the Salt Lake RegionUtah Travel Regions and served on the Committee for the Governor's, Conference on Tourism. A graduate of San Francisco State University, Mompellier lives in Salt Lake City with his wife and two daughters. . ., |
