Show New Play at Westminster The Westminster College players will inaugurate their 1982 Summer Traveling Theater with performances on July 2 and 3 of a new version of "Beauty and the Beast." The performances will be held on campus in Courage Theater beginning at 8 p.m. each 'evening. Admission is free and the public is cordially invited to attend. Seating, however, is limited to the first 100 attendees for each performance. perform-ance. The Westminster Players version of "Beauty and the Beast" will be the world premiere performance of an' original play by Lewison Clark Fox, a native of Salt Lake City. Her plays have been produced by several professional companies in Utah. Ms. Fox also wrote the musical score and lyrics for the play. Accompanist for the musical numbers will be Bcrryl Merry, pianist of the Utah Symphony. Following this on-campus premiere, the Westminster College Players will tour the production throughout the Salt Lake valley and northern Utah. The first out-of-town performance is scheduled for July 16-17 at Wasatch High - - School in Heber City. Utah. |
