Show Ice Show To Hold Tryouts For most of us, skating has always b ccn something we did just for the fun of it. or ' something to watch on television. - Yet. for those who have taken the sport seriously, the long hours of training can be the foundation for an exciting and profitable career. Many a teeen-ager. going around in endless circles of a "figure eight" on the ice. has dreamed ultimately attaining perfection per-fection sufficient to take lehm into the glittering professional world of an ice show. And. it's not an impossible dream, because many young skaters have made il and the doors are wide open for those who can qualify. Local skaters willhave the opportunity, to audition for Ice Capades on Friday, April 10 at approximately 9:45 p.m. following the 7:30 p.m. performance at the Salt Palace. Prospective Ice Capades skaters must be at least 17 years-old and Tiavc a basic knowledge and training in figure and freestyle skating. Beyond that, appearance and enthusiasm, as well as a background of training in ballet andor jazz dance are plus factors. Persons under IK years-old who wish to audition must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. ice Capades opens at the Sail Palace. April 7 through - Sunday, april 12 for seven performances. 'I |
