Show Commissioners Tackle Hotel Revisions The Cornice Hotel was the subject of yet another Planning Plann-ing Commission meeting as project officials requested revisions to the design of the hotel's facade. The Planning Department had recommended denying approval due to design problems, however, the commission com-mission approved the changes chan-ges with the stipulation that the planning staff work with the Cornice architect to resolve those problems. If they can't work out the design issues the commission commiss-ion said it would take another look at the request. The commission also again discussed the Silver Pine Condominium project to be located in Deer Valley. A revised version of the project had been approved by the commission only to have project officials receive City Council approval on their original plans. The issue may have become a bone of contention between the city council and the planning commission. Commissioners Com-missioners decided to table further discussion of the project for two weeks in order to study all the information provided including includ-ing a letter to the commission commiss-ion from the city attorney. The city attorney has been requested to be present at the next planning commission commiss-ion meeting to answer questions on the issue. In other action the commission commis-sion approved with conditions condit-ions the condominiumization of 35 units known as Sun Creek currently under construction cons-truction of 1885 Prospector Avenue. Also approved with conditions condit-ions were the condominiumization condominiumi-zation of Interline Lodge (10 units at 524 Park Avenue) and the construction of a "handi-bank" teller at the present First Security National Natio-nal Bank at 1514 Park Avenue. The commissioners also adopted a revision in the city's Land Management Code dealing with acceptable structure heights. |
